I was all set to marble a canvas when I realized at the last minute I had used all of my pouring medium on a hanger project. It was 8 pm and I was running all over town trying to find more. I checked Five Below, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Walmart and still had no luck.
At that point I had no choice but to make my own.
One cup of Elmer’s glue, half a cup of water, and four teaspoons of alcohol later, my DIY pouring medium was born. Of course I had to test it out and I was actually pleased with the results. It was not too thick or too thin, just right.
I went ahead with the marbling and the only tweak was spraying alcohol in between layers to help everything spread better.
For the next pour, I am debating between using oil or contact solution to get those cells right.
